Hi all,
Has anyone done a direct comparison between the Zeiss 8 x 32 FL and the Swarovski 8 x 32 EL?
I find the weight of the 8.5 x 42 EL's too much for my poor old neck so have decided to downsize to the 8 x 32 EL. I'm also considering the Zeiss, but I'm wondering if the image will be as stunning as I've found the Swarovski's to be?
All opinions welcome!
I've looked at these two at the last couple of British Birdfairs. I'm a fan of the 42mm Swavs (have the 10x ELs) but don't think the Swav 32s are as bright or sharp, even allowing for the smaller objectives. The Zeiss 8x32 are much better IMHO and the Ultravid HD 8x32 also excellent. Have a look at the review on the Alula website.

Interesting. My experience was exactly the opposite. Much like a pair of shoes, I guess -- if it fits, wear it.
