Good 8x30/42 Binoculars For Under £300

Hi I have recently purchased a Nikon ED50 Telescope, and am now looking at upgrading my binoculars.
I'm looking for a good quality pair, for under £300, but I would also look at slightly more expensive options and cheaper options (Because the speed in which I could attempt to buy the binoculars would depend upon the price, because I'd have to save up, so if their was a pair that was cheaper I'd be able to get a pair quicker or if the other pair were really worth waiting another few weeks...)
I put 8x30/42 as a guideline, because I am currently using a 8x40 pair.

Thank You very much in advance for all of your help!

Rocky

Hi Rocky. I imagine you will get quite a few suggestions for people's favourites in that price range.

I will start the ball rolling with my own choice:
Swift HHS Audubon 8.5 x 44 roof prisms. I have had mine for about three years and am very pleased with them. Well made, waterproof and have a good crisp, clear image. They cost between £230-300 depending on where you buy them.

Other suggestions: Nikon Monarch 8x36 or 8x42. Minox BL 8x32 or 8x42. Opticron Verano 8x32 or 8x42.

The best way is to try out as many pairs as possible and see what suits you best. I'm sure there will be plenty more suggestions.

Ron

Rocky, £300 puts you over half way to getting a real quality pair of 8x30 bins like the Swarovski SLC or Nikon HGL. If it were me I'd wait that bit longer, it'll be worth waiting for even if it takes longer than you'd hoped before you upgrade.

Alternatively check out some of the Minox range.
